Development
Frozen Tracks was developed over three and a half months as a 2026 bachelor project in the Game Design programme at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). The goal was to build a fully functional prototype with a strong technical and audiovisual foundation that could later expand into a complete release.
Current State
The current public build is primarily a technical and visual prototype. Its core systems, atmosphere, and overall gameplay foundation are in place. The surrounding world and narrative are currently minimal and are communicated through suggestion and environmental detail.
About Us
Fernwerk is a team of game designers from the Bachelor at Zurich University of the Arts. The team's work focuses on walkable control rooms and immersive game worlds where interfaces are not separate menus, but part of the environment itself. Our work explores how machines, spaces, and player interaction can feel physical, grounded, and atmospheric.
